The Role
Be the "face" of the company! Build a career and establish relationships through friendly interaction and service, with customers and co-workers alike. Your effective contributions in our warehouse contribute to accuracy and efficiency in customer order fulfillment; contributes to creating and maintaining a safe work environment for all associates, builds customer confidence in our capabilities. Your willingness to take on any assignment necessary to take care of the customer will help to separate us from our competition. Those tasks will include assisting customers at the counter or over the phone; entering and releasing tickets; resolving issues, accurately and timely filling customer orders; receiving and putting away material; and backing-up the delivery driver by making deliveries to job sites as needed. The Details
Desired skills and abilities:
- Knowledge of electrical and/or plumbing products is preferred.
- Good attention to detail.
- Able to effectively juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Strong problem solving skills
- Customer service attitude, friendly demeanor
- Effective time management, organization skills.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must have or be able to obtain, a Class E (Chauffer's) license
- Good driving record.
- Ability to exude professionalism, tact, diplomacy and sensitivity when dealing with customers, employees, internal associates at all levels.
- Capable of preserving confidential or sensitive information.
- Team player, able to work well under pressure.
- Acceptable computer aptitude.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, sit, walk; use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, reach or carry.
- Occasionally required climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequently required to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to safely tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
- Regularly required to talk and hear; read and identify numbers
- Regularly required to apply sound reasoning and logic in performing daily tasks.
- Required to be able to safely operate material handling equipment including a forklift, pallet jack, wire-cutting machine.
