The Role
We are seeking a friendly, upbeat, experienced HR administrative professional with a customer service attitude. The HR Coordinator position carries out responsibilities and/or provides support in all of the functional areas of HR: employee relations; benefits administration; payroll administration; employment/recruiting; training and development; legal compliance; HRIS. Many responsibilities require a deadline driven environment which requires strong aptitudes and skills that enable accurate, detailed, and timely results.

The Details
Human Resources
- Onboarding new hires, maintaining personnel files, orientating new employees, direct department notifications to ensure email access is established, payroll set-up, follow up. Ensure all appropriate legal compliance regarding e-verify, I9 documentation.
- Administer Company Benefit programs such as Health, 401K, Dental, life, etc. including enrollments, maintenance, vendor payments, compliance.
- Ensure collection and ongoing maintenance of employee data and records.
- Process terminations including appropriate final pays, final benefit processing, any legal notifications required, department notifications, exit interviews.
- Assist in recruiting process, screen, schedule interviews, submit background checks, scheduling pre-employment testing, follow-up with applicants.
- Ensure DOT driver qualifications compliance. Maintain appropriate records, maintain renewal schedule for medical cards.
- Initiate and follow-up Salary Reviews, Coaching Process. Ensure timely completion.
- Serve as back-up to Payroll Administrator with bi-weekly payroll process from collection of time data to distribution of pay.
- Participate/perform/drive safety related initiatives, events, as required.
- Assist with set-up/enroll/maintain Education and Training assignments for all associates. Maintain records, run reports, process reward/incentive initiatives.
- Initiate/manage/assist with various company events/activities as requested.
- Participate in on-going training and development to stay abreast of payroll and HR law changes, ensure legal compliance.
- Provide Customer Service to all. Answer questions, provide information, resolve problems.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Minimum 5 years related experience; Solid Recruitment experience and benefit administration desired; Degree a plus.
- Proficient in HRIS navigation. Knowledgeable of Paylocity platform a big plus!
- Solid knowledge of legal compliance in payroll and HR areas such as Wage and Hour; FMLA, ADA, etc.
- Excellent attention to detail; above average accuracy; strong organizational skills and practices.
- Ability to create professional correspondence and communications with proficiency in grammar, spelling, etc.
- Tact and above average communication skills - verbal, written, listening.
- Technologically proficient - Mid-level to advanced Excel skills preferred, competent in Word, Power Point, email.
- Strong work ethic and dependability.
- Above average numerical aptitude; reading and comprehension skills.
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality as part of the confidential nature of HR and payroll related work.
- Ability to work effectively with, and convey a positive, courteous, and professional attitude to all, including associates, all levels of Management, applicants, vendors, etc.
- Ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced, deadline driven, multi-tasking environment and do it all with a great attitude!
