The Role
Contribute to a great customer experience by ensuring our Sales locations have the proper quantities in stock to take care of our customers. Work closely with, and communicate often to, our Branch associates and our Vendors, to ensure product needs are met, remedy unexpected stock issues and conquer challenges, in order to meet our customers’ needs. Contribute to a team atmosphere that is committed to providing our customers with a great service experience by demonstrating our Core Values of Exceptional Service, Continuous Improvement/Forward Thinking, Industry Expertise, Respect, and Mutual Profitability.
The Details
- Purchase and manage assigned lines ensuring proper stock at all sales locations.
- Work diligently to make purchases at the best possible cost. Research/inquire about any deals or specials. Take into consideration freight, PPD levels, rebates, BDF, Coop, etc.
- Communicate regularly and often with vendors, and Branch Associates to ensure information needed or provided is current and relevant, and any product challenges are addressed. Stay informed of policies, obtain information regarding new product offerings.
- Ensure Accounts Payable has all information needed in order to make proper payments.
- Coordinate with SPA Administrator to ensure appropriate rebates are received.
- Complete information needed for item changes, new and obsolete items.
Desired skills and abilities:
- SAP knowledge a plus
- Solid knowledge of electrical products desired.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong numerical aptitude.
- Able to effectively juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective time management, and organization skills.
- Team player, willingness to cooperate with co-workers
