POSITION Gateway to Technology Instructor
LOCATION Hamilton Freshman School
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Gateway to Technology Instructor is responsible for the delivery of quality education that adheres to required curriculum standards. Courses to be taught include Introduction to Engineering Design and Robotics.
Students will participate in the career technical student organization Technology Student Association (TSA).
QUALIFICATIONS
START DATE August 2025
SALARY $49,667 – 103,605 (placement based upon experience and education)
BENEFITS Includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; tuition reimbursement
WORK YEAR 185 days; 7.5 hours/day

QUALIFICATIONS
- Appropriate licensure/certification through the Ohio State Board of Education or ability to obtain proper licensure. Applicants must meet ONE OF THE FOLLOWING requirements to be considered for this position:
- Current licensure in a Math, Science, and/or Engineering subject area OR
- Two or more years of verifiable and relevant industry experience, a bachelor’s degree or higher in a science, mathematics, or engineering field, and willingness and ability to complete the alternative teacher licensure process;
- Must successfully complete the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) teacher pre-assessment AND enroll in PLTW Training Institute if credential not already held (Butler Tech will provide information on registration and cover related costs);
- Willingness/ability to work with students, teachers and administrators as a team member;
- Computer expertise appropriate to the position;
- Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;
- State-issued identification card with photograph;
- History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and
- Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.
