| GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Healthcare Services Instructor is responsible for the delivery of quality education that adheres to required curriculum standards for Introduction to Allied Health, Medical Terminology, and Phlebotomy.
Students participate in the Future Health Professionals organization HOSA and earn a Phlebotomy industry credential. For the 2026 – 2027 school year, students may also earn a State Tested Nursing Aide (STNA) credential.

| QUALIFICATIONS
- Appropriate licensure/certification through the Ohio State Board of Education or ability to obtain proper licensure. Applicants must meet ONE of the following requirements to be considered for this position:
- Current Ohio teacher licensure in one of the following areas:
- Diversified Health Occupations (070998),
- Diagnostic Pathway (074820),
- Therapeutic Pathway (074830), OR
- Patient Care Technician (070994)
- Nurse Assisting (070303) OR
- BSN or MSN and at least two years experience as an RN under a valid Ohio nursing license OR
- Associates degree in nursing and at least three years experience as an RN under a valid Ohio nursing license OR
- RN program certificate and at least four years experience as an RN under a valid Ohio nursing license;
- Current Ohio teacher licensure in one of the following areas:
- Candidates without Ohio teacher licensure must be willing and able to complete Ohio’s alternative teacher licensure process;
- Eligibility to serve as STNA Primary Instructor, which requires at least one year of experience as a registered nurse in a long-term care setting;
- Successful completion of a Train the Trainer program or willingness to complete such program;
- Willingness and ability to support facilitation of year-round student externships preferred;
- Strong skillset and experience in phlebotomy;
- Willingness/ability to work with students, teachers and administrators as a team member;
- Computer expertise appropriate to the position;
- Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;
- Valid driver's license with access to personal insured vehicle during work hours;
- History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and
- Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.
