| GENERAL DESCRIPTION            
We are seeking a dynamic FCS Instructor to teach students in Grades 7 – 12.  Courses taught by this position include Child Development, Baking & Pastry Arts, and Culinary Fundamentals.  Students participate in Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). 
 
| QUALIFICATIONS 

• Appropriate licensure/certification through the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce or ability to obtain proper licensure.  Applicants must meet ONE OF THE FOLLOWING requirements to be considered for this position:
  • Current ODE licensure in one of the following:
    • VO Homemaking and Consumer Education (090104);
    • VO/CT/CW Culinary Arts and Food Service Management (090203);
    • CT Family and Consumer Science Education (090120);
    • VO/CT/CW Family and Consumer Science Careers (090660);
    • VO Homemaking and Consumer Education (090104);
    • VO/CT/CW Hotels and Resorts (090205);
  • OR Meets all three criteria below:
    • Holds a bachelor’s degree;
    • Holds a valid Ohio Resident Educator, Professional, Permanent or Five-Year Career-Technical teaching license in any field;  
    • Passes (or has passed) the OAE content-knowledge test for Family Consumer Science (022); AND
• Willingness/ability to work with students, teachers and administrators as a team member;
• Computer expertise appropriate to the position;
• Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;
• Valid drivers’ license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance;
• History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and
• Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.
