Summary
The Senior Biddable Media Strategist is the strategic lead responsible for advancing innovative, data-driven strategies across biddable media channels (programmatic, search, social). This role proactively reimagines processes, evolving the agency’s product offerings to increase revenue and profitability, and optimizing vendor partnerships to drive superior client outcomes.
As an expert in biddable media, this individual applies deep expertise and curiosity to infuse innovation across all aspects of campaign strategy. They regularly contribute to thought leadership, mentor junior team members, and shape best practices that set the agency apart in the marketplace.

Key Outcome: Master Biddable Media Strategy and Innovation
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and refine cutting-edge biddable media strategies that drive measurable business outcomes for clients and the agency.
• Lead the integration of emerging ad tech, data, creative and automation tools into strategic planning.
• Challenge existing processes and develop forward-thinking approaches that enhance tactical planning efficiency, accuracy, and campaign performance.
• Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance the agency’s proprietary solutions, supporting differentiation and strengthening strategic offerings.
• Demonstrate expertise in partner capabilities, including ad tech platforms, supply, and data providers to ensure seamless integration into campaign plans.
Key Outcome: Drive Data-Informed Decision-Making and Continuous Optimization
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish and oversee advanced testing frameworks, using data insights to fuel campaign improvements and industry-leading best practices.
• Partner with analytics teams to extract and apply deeper performance insights that inform future media investments.
• Serve as a key consultant on measurement strategies, ensuring alignment between media performance and broader business objectives.
• Work closely with internal teams and external partners to continuously improve media effectiveness, maximizing efficiency and impact.
Key Outcome: Shape and Optimize Agency Partnerships
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead high-impact partnerships with key platforms, DSPs, SSPs, and data providers to unlock first-mover advantages and beta opportunities.
• Assess and refine partner relationships to ensure alignment with the agency’s strategic vision and financial objectives.
• Negotiate and implement innovative media solutions that enhance performance while optimizing investment efficiency.
Key Outcome: Establish Thought Leadership and Industry Influence
Key Responsibilities:
• Spearhead the development of thought leadership content, including whitepapers, case studies, and industry POVs, to elevate the agency’s market presence.
• Act as an internal and external advocate for biddable media innovation, sharing insights and expertise through presentations, conferences, and client engagements.
• Mentor and train junior team members, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and excellence.
Key Outcome: Support Enterprise-Level Initiatives and Best Practices
Key Responsibilities:
• Work alongside leadership to evaluate and integrate new technologies, ensuring the agency remains at the forefront of digital media innovation.
• Define and document strategic playbooks and best practices, creating a foundation for scalable, repeatable success.
• Aligning with internal teams to enhance cross-channel integration and ensure holistic media strategies that drive optimal client outcomes.
• Support the development of a curation and supply strategy that pushes the boundaries of the current media landscape, delivering innovative outcomes aligned with agency initiatives
• Lead knowledge-sharing efforts by contributing to internal training, case studies, or agency thought leadership initiatives.
Qualifications
• REQUIRED:
o EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or equivalent work experience.
o EXPERIENCE: 4 years of experience in the digital marketing, advertising, and/or media field.
o Experience in The Trade Desk, Google, PulsePoint, and/or Meta platforms.
o Experience in biddable channel tactical planning and applied experience of bringing plans to fruition.
o Proactive and curious attitude. Strong problem-solving skills.
o Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with rapidly changing priorities.
o Self-starter able to seek new opportunities or projects, and lead with support from start to finish.
o Proven track record in operating with a high-level of integrity, commitment, and enthusiasm to take on a challenging role with cross-functional commitments.
o Grasp new technology (DSPs, SSPs, AI, etc.) and product changes quickly, and identify application to current work.
o Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
o Intermediate-level skillset in Excel.
• PREFERRED:
o Experience working in a highly regulated industry (e.g. pharma, healthcare).
o Experienced using syndicated research and 1st party data to inform strategy and activation.

COMPENSATION
Butler/Till is committed to providing pay transparency of our compensation philosophy and ensuring equitable pay practices for our employee owners. The compensation range for this position is $60,000 - $85,000 and represents the annual salary range in Rochester, NY. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.
This is just one component of Butler/Till’s total compensation package for employee owners. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including ESOP (employee stock ownership plan), an annual bonus, in addition to a full benefits package, and paid time off benefits, including 100% paid parental leave. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
