What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructor, Mathematics and Computer Science position at Butler University?
The Butler University Department of Mathematical Sciences and Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering invite applications for a one-year Instructor of Mathematics and Computer Science position. The appointment begins August 2025.
The primary responsibility is to teach 12 credit hours per semester of introductory level mathematics and computer science courses, such as introduction to computer science, calculus for business, college algebra, or introductory statistics. We seek a colleague committed to building an inclusive learning environment for an increasingly diverse student population.
A master's degree or equivalent graduate-level work in an appropriate discipline is required. Instructors are expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching, good communication skills, and a commitment to innovative, inclusive teaching practices.
