The Master in Fine Arts (MFA) Social Media Coordinator will be primarily responsible for strategy, content, and schedule of social media posts for the MFA program, on all platforms, with the aim of promoting brand awareness, sharing program news, building community, and facilitating partnerships. This is a part-time role working approximately 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute social media content ideas and projects
- Consistently post 3-5 times per week on all channels
- Monitor MFA social accounts for engagement, replying to messages and comments as appropriate
- Work closely with the MFA Program Manager to stay informed of program news and social media goals.
- Attend MFA events, official and/or community, as able or arrange for content sharing
- Monitor feeds for opportunities to share content forward from key faculty, alumni, students, community institutions
- Set the tone and voice of MFA social accounts
- BA or MFA in Creative Writing, English, Communications, or Marketing
- Knowledge of social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Linktree, and others as adopted
- Exceptional communication skills
- Familiarity with Canva
- Familiarity with Indianapolis literary communities and partners
- Good visual eye for photography and graphic design
- Prior experience in social media/marketing operations for educational institutions or nonprofits
