Under the supervision of the Senior Director, Child Development Programs and Services (CDPS) and the direction of assigned Program Manager, the Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) Quality Specialist is responsible for participating in planning, developing, coordinating, and supporting the functions of countywide UPK implementation; including leading professional learning sessions, coordinating communications, information, and resources to meet program needs and to enhance the rollout of UPK in Butte County schools; providing technical assistance, consultation and staff development activities teaching staff, extended care, providers and support staff to enhance quality and effectiveness of the UPK system. The Butte County Office of Education (BCOE) is located in Northern California and serves 13 districts and 17 charter schools in Butte County and provides services to students and educators in all 58 California Counties and employs 1500 people in Butte County and across the state.
