Welding Associate

Description

SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE: 
Butte Fence is looking for a Welder/Steel Fabricator to join our local team here in Meridian! This person 
will ensure the success of fencing projects through effective welding of various metal components and 
operating of machinery that fabricates and repairs metal structures, equipment, or machines. Must be 
able to follow written and verbal directions, read prints and pass a welding test.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 
• Knowledge and operation of welding equipment, hand tools, power tools and production equipment.
• Reads and interprets fabrication/welding specifications from text, drawings and CAD drawings.
• Inspects your own work for accuracy and completion to meet high quality standards and code 
requirements.
• Maintains a safe and clean work area and restocks supplies and materials, as necessary.
• Assists in installation or assemblies in our warehouse or on worksite.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills, job planning, and problem solving.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1 year welding experience preferred, or welder certified.
• Be able to complete a Fab and Fit-Up test during the interview process.
• Forklift certified.
• Comfortable using power tools such as drills, saws, and angle grinders. 
• Willingness to learn and positive attitude.

PHYSICAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
• Availability to work additional hours or weekends as projects demand.
• Ability to work in a warehouse setting
