SHIFT: 2pm-11am ( Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturday's)

The Back- Up Team Leader fills in as needed in the Team leader role which is responsible for the following. Coordinates the production needs in the safest, highest quality, most efficient way possible. Coordinates staffing, materials and inventory ensuring efficiency and conformity in operation through effective communication with direct reports, managers and other supervisory staff. Responsible to comply with all food safety and quality standards to produce safe and quality food.
Individual requirements related to the duty:
- Follow and enforce all safety practices and guidelines
- Supervise production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
- Train, coach, and communicate to all production line employees
- Responsible for shift schedule to include: work station assignments/rotations, employee training, employee breaks, overtime assignments, back-up for absent employees and shift rotations
- Use I-Pad based software to record and track OEE and compliance
- Assist with coordinating production startups, shutdowns and changeovers
- Responsible for meeting area production goals
- Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications.
- Operate within all process parameters
- Communicate with other Team Leaders, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Functional Areas, and Managers
- Ensure a clean and safe work area
- Ensure all shift paperwork is entered correctly.
- Assist in production as necessary.
- Participate in waste and cost reduction initiatives
- Work with Quality on ensuring that all quality practices are being followed and enforced
- Follow up and enforce all policies in the company handbook.
- Ensure all employees are working the scheduled hours.
- Utilize designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Alert Team leader of conflict and difficult situations between personnel and peers.
- Ensure adequate supplies available and control supply spending
Requirements
Education/Certificates/Licenses/Experience:
Minimum one (1) year manufacturing experience.

· Computer literacy, preferably with Microsoft software (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, iPad based software)
