We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Estimator to spearhead cost analysis and bidding efforts for our clients for their construction projects. This role requires precision, collaboration, and industry expertise to develop comprehensive estimates that ensure project success. Working closely with architects, subcontractors, vendors, and labor agencies, you will evaluate potential worksites, assess project scopes, and prepare accurate and competitive cost proposals. Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee the end-to-end estimating process, ensuring timely and accurate cost projections.
- Conduct detailed reviews of construction documents, identifying scope, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop full-scope estimates for Bid-Build, Design-Build, and CM / GC projects.
- Perform comprehensive quantity take-offs to assess material and labor needs.
- Lead the bid team, providing direction on means, methods, scheduling, and pricing strategy.
- Conduct thorough risk evaluations, presenting key findings to leadership.
- Participate in technical proposal development for Alternative Delivery projects.
- Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing to optimize cost efficiency.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and post-bid interviews to ensure project feasibility.
- Maintain a comprehensive subcontractor database, ensuring vendor prequalification compliance.
- Develop accurate unit costs and production estimates to align with industry benchmarks.
- Monitor and compare actual costs vs. estimates, maintaining a detailed cost history.
- Review and refine pricing strategies based on real-world project performance.
- Provide technical insights on construction drawings, specifications, and feasibility studies.
- Assess workloads, ensuring efficient resource allocation for estimating tasks.
