ROLE
The Lead Property Caretaker will be responsible for overseeing the care of a private residence and surrounding property, consisting of multiple houses, outbuildings, and working hobby farm. The responsibilities of the Lead Property Caretaker will include coordinating and executing the care and maintenance tasks of the buildings and property, including oversight of a team of employees and contractors. The Lead Property Caretaker role is a full-time, salary-exempt position. The primary work location for this position is in Ada, MI.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage weekly, monthly, and annual routines according to the usage of the property
- Schedule and oversee the Property staff in executing daily buildings and property maintenance tasks, contributing to the completion of these tasks
- Develop intimate working knowledge of the buildings, property, and systems
- Manage preventative maintenance schedules for all buildings, systems and equipment, updating as necessary, and accurately documenting all maintenance items
- Conduct regular and in-depth interior and exterior maintenance inspections throughout the buildings and property, reporting and responding to findings as appropriate
- Coordinate with the Household/Properties Manager to oversee major repairs with appropriate contractors, ensuring successful and satisfactory completion
- Arrange and monitor regular vendor services for the property and building interiors and exteriors
- Assist with coordinating and executing special projects, including events held on the properties
REQUIREMENTS
- Property Management experience
- General knowledge and basic skill level in trades such as HVAC, plumbing, appliances, landscaping, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, approaching all interactions with a servant’s heart
- High attention to detail, organization, and follow-through of routines
- Ability to lift 30 pounds to a maximum height of 6 feet, including occasional lifting up to 80 pounds
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and remain standing and walking on feet for lengthy periods of time
- Ability to safely operate power machinery and lawn care tools
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
