Buxmont Academy, a Pennsylvania licensed private academic school, is seeking a full -time special education teacher for their Tatamy Creek campus. Our special education teachers are dedicated and caring! They provide necessary support to both students and their team. They promote a healthy community and encourage positive change. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7 : 30am-3 : 30pm. Salary starts at $42,000 a year. Primary responsibilities for the special education teacher position include providing 1-on-1 and small group tutoring to students grades 7-12, creating and monitoring Individual Education Plans (IEP), and conducting IEP meetings.
Qualified candidates are required to hold a bachelor's degree or higher in special education, and either hold special education certification or have the ability to obtain certification. We welcome qualified candidates who are interested in becoming teachers. We also welcome retired teachers who miss being in the classroom!
