This position is hybrid based out of our Waltham, MA office. We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role.
Your impact :
The Finance Manager will work closely with the SVP of Financial Planning & Analysis, broader FP&A team, functional leaders and corporate accounting on a range of financial and strategic efforts. The manager will play a key role in analysis and reporting to support decision making. In addition, the finance manager will be a key contributor in managing the corporate functional P&Ls and providing insights that assist the respective leaders in managing their headcount and other costs.
To be successful in this role the candidate must have a strong knowledge of GAAP accounting, be highly analytical, detailed oriented, hands-on and skilled at building reports and processes. A successful Finance Manager will be able to generate high quality work in a fast-paced environment, quickly conduct analyses to reflect changing business environments, and communicate and collaborate effectively across functions. Must be able to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Prepare monthly reporting and variance analysis for corporate functions, identifying and explaining performance against budget, forecast and prior year
- Develop effective business partnerships with functional leads to understand business needs and related cost implications
- Identify, develop and implement process improvements
- Prepare ad-hoc analyses to understand business trends
- Prepare internal management reporting packages, investor reports, lender reports and board packages
- Manage the budget and forecast processes including timelines, deliverables and templates
- Manage headcount reporting and metrics
- Evaluate functionality and support implementation of new planning tools as needed
- Liaise with the accounting team on month end close and reporting readiness
- Provide support for marketing effectiveness analytics
