WORK ENVIRONMENT : Open workstation and clinical area
DRESS CODE : Scrubs, preferably Navy Blue
COMPUTER SOFTWARE : Health Management System (HMS), Microsoft Office
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS : Must have Medical Assistant Certification
CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provide direct patient care services of a medical nature in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Phlebotomy skills as well as administering IM and Subcutaneous injections
- Ability to administer and read accurate blood pressure testing
- Interviewing patients and obtain a complete medical history
- Ability to keep accurate records
- Distribute prescribed medications
- Effective communication skills
