Marketing Analyst
Location: Downers Grove, IL / Hybrid
Hybrid Schedule: Four days in-office 8 am–4:30 pm / One day remote

Summary
The marketing team of a global flavor manufacturer is looking for a dynamic marketing and trend analysis professional to join the team. You want to develop or further develop your career in business-to-business (“B2B”) marketing – and you want to do so within the food, beverage, and nutraceutical industry.
You will support the marketing team through various marketing initiatives, alongside sales and research and development, within the flavor division. This will include food and beverage market research, the creation and delivery of product and consumer trend presentations to customers, content writing for marketing collateral, metric reporting, and more. This is also an opportunity to show your writing skills.
You’re resourceful, creative, and energetic, demonstrating exceptional critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. You‘re a pro at organizing your workload to meet deadlines and managing your workload with multiple projects going on simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Leverage multiple key resources to conduct food and beverage market research and identify product and consumer trends that contribute to product and flavor ideation, customer presentations, and flavor trend campaigns
- Identify new product opportunities through industry trend analysis, brand alignment, and GAP analysis of client flavor portfolios.
- Develop and present trend findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and external clients in both virtual and on-site settings. Includes PowerPoint presentations on market trends for customer meetings, industry conferences, and virtual events
- Present clients with innovative flavor and product ideas to maximize their current portfolios
- Support research and launch of flavor collections, working alongside Flavor Development and the Flavor Sales Team to collaborate on new product concepts, ingredients, and technologies
- Provide support for the Senior Marketing Specialist
- Address various Sales requests, including support for meetings
- Partner with marketing, sales, and research and development (“R&D”) within the flavor division to support customer requests via the creation of marketing collateral for US and international accounts
- Strategize and oversee the development of creative content, often incorporating keywords/SEO, to direct online traffic to website and social media pages, generating engagement and new leads
- Assist in tradeshow and event set up and execution, including setting up and assisting at tradeshow booths
- Subject matter content writing and editing of select marketing tactics – e.g., bi-monthly blog, social media (headlines/captions), bi-monthly flavor trend email campaigns that engage and inform customers, simple brochures, and other select print materials
- Write, edit, and distribute content for B2B food and beverage industry professionals – e.g., blog posts, press releases, and editorials
- Write proposal submissions for speaking events
- Use Canva for select creative needs. We will provide training
- Write and deploy emails using MailChimp. We will provide training on MailChimp
- Leverage WordPress for website blog posts. We will provide training
- Provide other marketing support to cross-functional teams, as needed
- Track and analyze marketing campaign performance, including website traffic, email campaigns, and sample requests
- Generate quarterly marketing metrics reports to assess progress and impact
- Compile a comprehensive end-of-year marketing metrics report to summarize annual achievements
- Represent the company well during business travel

Gotta Have
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret market trends, organize data, and apply strategic insights effectively
- Comfortable with public speaking, you will be presenting directly to clients and internal teams
- Excels in cross-functional engagement among internal and external teams, with a natural ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to leverage critical thinking
- Organized and detail-oriented with appropriate sense of urgency and excellent time-management skills
- Interest and enthusiasm to work in the food and beverage industry
- Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel as needed
