Role Overview:
As an Associate Event Manager, you'll work alongside senior managers and the creative team to conceptualize, plan, and execute a wide range of events. This role requires a strong blend of organization, creativity, people skills, and the ability to manage logistics seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in end-to-end event planning and execution for corporate, social, and experiential events
- Liaise with clients to understand event objectives and expectations
- Coordinate with vendors, venues, and third-party suppliers to ensure timely delivery
- Manage on-site event operations including setup, registration, crowd control, and breakdown
- Supervise event staff, interns, and volunteers as needed
- Monitor event budgets, timelines, and checklists to ensure deliverables stay on track
- Prepare and present event proposals, run sheets, and post-event reports
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and permits
- Contribute to creative brainstorming and pitch decks
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams and clients throughout the event lifecycle
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in event coordination or management (agency experience is a plus)
- Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems on the fly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic design tools (e.g. Canva, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with budgeting and vendor negotiation
