BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Writer / Editor to support and enhance our IT solutions for government and contractor environments. This role will focus on ensuring that applications and systems meet accessibility requirements and deliver a high level of performance. The specialist will also travel to government or contractor sites as necessary.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assists in collecting and organizing information for the preparation of user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.
Editing functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables or document.
Conducting research and ensuring the use of proper technical terminology.
Translating technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non- technical personnel.
Using the standard help compiler to prepare all on-line documentation (for applications built to run in a Windows environment).
Assisting in performing financial and administrative functions.
Basic Qualifications :
Associate’s degree in related field.
5 years of experience in this area and must demonstrate the ability to work independently, or under only general direction.
2 years of experience in preparing and editing documents, including technical documents
Experience conducting research for applicable standards.
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree
