Job Description:
The Assembly Team Leader will work with a team of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic to build high quality machine with a focus on efficiency, safety, and process improvement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead assembly team members to maximize efficiency, equipment value, cross training, and development.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement, utilize available resources and tools to reduce machine downtime, identify and implement process improvements, oversee use of standard work processes, and identify training needs.
- Assist in determining future assembly build equipment investments.
- Work with the Quality team to address non-conformance’s, and solid containment, root cause, and permanent corrective actions.
- Plan for rapid response capability to meet customer needs.
- Proactively identify equipment issues and work closely with Maintenance to plan and schedule preventive maintenance.
- Create and sustain a safety environment that promotes a safety mindset, embraces training and adherence to safety policies and procedures, and encourages awareness and correction of safety hazards.
- Ensure that work areas and equipment are maintained in clean and orderly condition and all safety regulations are observed; report and correct any unsafe work practices or conditions immediately.
- Forecast / monitor monthly business financial commitments.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of experience in function.
- At least two years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical expertise in machining, paint, fabrication, materials, blueprints, NC programs, routings, tooling, and fixturing.
- Demonstrated communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Proven problem-solving skills, planning, and scheduling abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proven success designing, implementing, communicating, meeting goals, including improving through-put, shortening cycle time, and improving inventory turns.

- Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally
- Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards
- Travel by air or car occasionally
