SUMMARY:
The Installation Team Leader will be responsible for developing and/or leading a highly skilled and experienced Installation Team. This role is crucial in ensuring the success of our installation projects by streamlining processes and setting up downstream teams for success. Operating in a dynamic environment, the Installation Team Leader must balance the demands of multiple business areas while ensuring future success for the upcoming installation

This position directly supervises other team members.

The Installation Team Leader will be responsible for developing and/or leading a highly skilled and experienced Installation Team. This role is crucial in ensuring the success of our installation projects by streamlining processes and setting up downstream teams for success. Operating in a dynamic environment, the Installation Team Leader must balance the demands of multiple business areas while ensuring future success for the upcoming installation
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Scope Definition:
- Clearly define the work to be done for each installation project
- Identify installation scope changes and communicate with client immediately any impact to project (documented)
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure all aspects of the job are covered including the testing of the project
- Project Planning:
- Run integrated planning sessions
- Create and/or verify installation Gantt charts
- Coordinate third-party services and contractors (e.g., rigging crews, electricians)
- Documentation Management:
- Compile and organize all necessary documentation for each project
- Ensure proper systemic systems are in place (e.g., wire pull charts, program edit guides)
- Resource Management:
- Identify and prepare tools and parts needed as backup for installations
- Coordinate with inventory management to ensure all necessary resources are available
- Customer Interface:
- Maintain direct contact with customers regarding technical aspects of installations
- Provide clear communication on project progress and technical requirements
- Act as liaison between client and operational teams/field service teams
- Attend meetings throughout project with clients onsite
- Review scope with Installation contractor/OEM
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the project manager
- Partner with Field service and Project Manager
- Communicate financial status, warranty issues, schedule changes, manpower requirements, and other important details about project
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement processes to ensure smooth execution of installation jobs
- Conduct post-installation reviews to identify areas for improvement
- Understand/drive final acceptance (working closely with PM)
- Executing in field acceptance test if required (understand fully expectations and what was sold)
- Associate degree in a Technical Field or related work experience.
- 8 years of experience.
- Extensive experience in equipment installation and project management
- Strong technical knowledge of our product lines and installation processes
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

- Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally
- Lift, move or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally
- Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards
- Travel as needed
