Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Satisfaction:
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues in the mechanical, electrical, and software aspects of advanced packaging equipment, ensuring utmost customer satisfaction.
- Lead the installation, commissioning, and start-up processes of new equipment, leveraging mechatronics expertise.
- Conduct hands-on training sessions for customer personnel, focusing on safety, proper operation, and preventive maintenance.
- Undertake diverse projects including upgrades, audits, and optimization of equipment to enhance overall system performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute projects within specified timelines and budget constraints.
- Serve as a bridge between internal departments, fostering seamless communication and collaboration.
- Provide remote technical support from the home office, utilizing mechatronics knowledge to troubleshoot and address customer queries effectively.
- Communicate updates on customer equipment to internal departments for timely updates to technical documentation.
- Utilize mechatronics skills to contribute to the updating of technical documentation, including manuals, drawings, program files, and in-house training programs.
- Proficient in PLC programming to optimize the performance of packaging machinery.
- Ensure project completion within quoted margins, combining mechatronics expertise with efficiency to meet financial objectives.
- A degree in Mechatronics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the packaging industry, demonstrating expertise in mechatronics, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls systems.
- Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills, with a diplomatic approach.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and contribute to collective success.
- Proficient in PLC programming and basic computer skills (Word and Excel).
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Physical ability to bend, squat, climb, grasp, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Continuous walking, standing, and movement in a typical machine shop environment.
- Familiarity with machine shop physical hazards, requiring respiratory protection.
- Occasional operation of a computer with keyboarding skills.
- Frequent travel by air and car (up to 80%)

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
