Heavy Duty Truck: Diesel Mechanic

Hours of operation:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 6:30AM - 3:30PM.
Tuesday, Thursday - 6:30AM - 4:00PM.
Requirements:
· We require that you have your owns set of basic hand tools and toolbox.
· An extensive understanding and experience in Preventive Maintenance and Annual inspections.
· 2-year experience with heavy duty diesel engine diagnostic and diesel aftertreatment systems using OEM software programs such as: Insite, DLB, Meritor, Service Ranger, ETC.
· Repair Experience with International, Freightliner, Volvo, and Peterbuilt Trucks.
· Well-developed Electrical diagnostics and trouble shooting skills.
· Understanding of A/C system operation, repairs and diagnosing issues.
· Experience and understanding to troubleshoot and inspect Wheel end components, Tires, Air brakes, Driveline, Transmission, and Clutches.
· Ability to pass required drug screen and background check.
· Highschool diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
· Valid driver’s license.
· CDL preferred.
· TWIC Card preferred.
· Reliable form of transportation.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to stand, bend, kneel and work in various positions.
Daily Responsibility:
· While keeping the work area organized, clean and safe, each mechanic is responsible for completing repairs with minimal supervision according to assigned work order request.
· Notating all trouble shooting procedures and repairs performed using the three C’s method (Complaint, Cause and Correction).
· Using OEM repairs manuals and procedures to complete repairs
· Locating correct parts within parts room to complete repairs.
· Requesting parts needed to complete repairs.
· Legibly recording data and completing required documentation.
· Charging parts to corresponding labor lines.
· Managing time by clocking on and off jobs as they are started and completed.
· Assisting other technicians at times with repairs as needed.
· Once repairs are completed, reporting completion to shop manager, and turning in work orders.
