BW Papersystems is seeking an Electrical /Mechanical Assembler to join our team. This role is responsible for the mechanical assembly and erection of box-making machines, including feed, printing, cutter, and scorer-slotter sections. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, and a keen eye for precision alignment and performance.

BW Papersystems is seeking an Electrical /Mechanical Assembler to join our team. This role is responsible for the mechanical assembly and erection of box-making machines, including feed, printing, cutter, and scorer-slotter sections. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, and a keen eye for precision alignment and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute assembly work using detailed drawings, specifications, and instructions.
- Assemble machine sections according to customer specifications, ensuring precise alignment of rotating shafts, gear trains, and mechanical structures.
- Utilize measuring instruments to maintain accuracy in alignment, focusing on square, concentricity, and parallelism.
- Identify and report defective materials and operational issues while assisting in troubleshooting.
- Support workflow efficiency and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
- Complete necessary documentation to meet quality and production standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance processes and designs.
- Develop and update work instructions while training others.
- Act as a backup to the group lead, reporting team needs and ensuring smooth operations.
- Follow all company safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and complex specifications.
- Strong understanding of mechanical assembly procedures, including the use of hand and power tools.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist in various tasks.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all safety regulations.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 4 years of mechanical, automotive maintenance, repair, or assembly experience.
