The Security/Grounds Patrol responsibility is to search for, respond to, and handle any security
issues/ building concerns or emergency situations in accordance with all policies and procedures
within brand standards to ensure the safety of the property’s assets, guests and employees. To
assist all guests in a professional and courteous manner.
Key responsibilities may include:
Property inspections: Regularly patrolling the grounds to identify potential maintenance
issues like broken lights, damaged landscaping, or security concerns.
Enforce Rules: Enforce hotel and building policies, rules, and regulations, closing of the pool area at scheduled closing time.
Reporting issues: Communicating maintenance needs to the appropriate department
regarding repairs or replacements. Documents security incidents daily.
Provide Customer Service: Respond to questions or concerns from employees, residents, or visitors regarding the grounds or policies in place.
Basic security checks: Monitoring for suspicious activity and reporting any security
concerns to the relevant personnel.
Trash removal: Regularly collecting litter from grounds, parking lots, and designated
areas.
Entrance and walkway maintenance: Cleaning and sweeping sidewalks, entryways,
and steps.
Seasonal tasks: Snow removal in winter.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or grounds maintenance is a plus, but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
Knowledge of safety regulations, first aid, and basic security protocols.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot potential hazards or violations.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk, stand, or patrol for long periods.
Ability to lift and carry equipment or materials up to a certain weight (usually 30-50 lbs).
Comfortable working in various weather conditions (rain, snow, heat).
Work Schedule:
Could involve nights, weekends, and holidays.
