About the Role :
We are searching for a seasoned and entrepreneurial Managing Director to lead our Portfolio Management team. Our firm provides bespoke credit solutions to mid-market companies facing various challenges or requiring financial support. In this critical role, you will oversee the post-investment management of our portfolio companies, ensuring their success and maximizing returns for our investors. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing platform with a strong team culture.
Responsibilities :
Manage and monitor a diversified portfolio of middle-market companies post-investment, from deal closing to exit.
Lead the development and execution of portfolio company action plans, driving operational improvements and value creation.
Oversee covenant compliance, financial reporting, and ongoing credit analysis of portfolio companies.
Maintain strong relationships with portfolio company management teams, acting as a trusted advisor and problem solver.
Identify and manage potential portfolio company risks and actively work to mitigate them.
Lead and mentor a team of portfolio management professionals (preferred).
Contribute to the broader investment strategy and credit committee discussions.
Qualifications :
15-20 years of experience in private debt underwriting or portfolio management.
Proven track record of successfully managing and growing a portfolio of middle-market debt investments.
In-depth knowledge of credit analysis, portfolio management, and workout strategies.
Strong understanding of middle-market company dynamics and financial structures.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA preferred).
