Quantitative Analyst

buckleighwilliams has partnered with a leading global financial markets company to identify their new Quantitative Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative team that leverages data and analytics to spot market trends, influence client behavior, and provide strategic input for business management and planning.

The successful Quantitative Analyst will be part of the Equities Execution team, using their analytical skills and market understanding to solve complex problems and present findings that drive business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Gather competitive intelligence by compiling, organizing, and maintaining key pricing, rules, reference, and other relevant data sets from competitors.
  • Under supervision, model pricing changes and help coordinate the monthly pricing change implementation process.
  • Create ad-hoc reports used for monitoring performance and developing new products, services, and business lines.
  • Assist in advancing the development of business intelligence tools and their applications.
  • Conduct market research and assist in business development initiatives as needed.
  • Assist business leaders in creating presentations for senior management, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.

Your experience

  • Undergraduate degree in finance, business, statistics, computer science, or a similar discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related job experience.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of financial markets.
  • Strong communication, writing, analytical, quantitative, and research skills.
  • Intellectually curious with a strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and programming skills (e.g., Python).
  • Experience with business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau or similar data visualization tools) is preferred.

    • Compensation

  • The base salary range for this position in New York City is $100 - $180,000, with potential additional incentive compensation and benefits based on specific skills and experience.
