Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC Superintendent / Field Project Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes. The Superintendent will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Planning and Scheduling: Developing and updating HVAC work schedules, coordinating daily tasks, and allocating labor to maintain progress and meet project milestones.
- Supervision and Leadership: Supervising and mentoring HVAC crews, ensuring effective communication and collaboration, and motivating the team to achieve high-quality workmanship.
- Quality Control: Ensuring all HVAC work meets project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordination: Coordinating installation between trades and subcontractors, ensuring smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Safety: Enforcing job site policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring all on-site employees comply with safety regulations.
- Budget Management: Managing project costs, identifying potential change orders, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving construction problems, and improving construction methods.
- Communication: Serving as a link between subordinates and upper management, communicating effectively with project managers, engineers, and inspectors.
- Material Management: Ensuring that all necessary materials and equipment are available on site
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records
- Customer Relations: Managing customer relations and ensuring their satisfaction
Requirements
- Mechanical Expertise: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, specifically HVAC.
- Leadership and Supervisory Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks effectively, and resolve conflicts.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Pay: $72,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
