Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager - Estimator to join our team. You should have a strong background in construction or related fields and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the planning, execution, and estimation of projects across various industries, including public utilities, construction and excavation, welding and fabrication, engineering, and other associated fields. This is a full-time position based out of Morgantown, WV. The salary is negotiable and based on experience.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to navigate challenges involving clients, employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies
- Solid grasp of construction codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Possess a strong understanding of construction practices, project management methodologies, and cost estimation techniques
- Prior experience with different bid styles (Competitive Bid, Lump Sum, Cost Plus and Negotiated/GMP)
- Minimum of 5 years’ related experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional or Certified Construction Manager are a plus

Responsibilities:
- Read documents and contracts and be able to summarize key takeaways and tasks
- Develop and track submittals, RFIs, and cost reports for project execution
- Develop pricing for RFPs, change orders, change authorizations, and bulletins
- Create scopes of work and bid packages across multiple trades to ensure project completeness
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and related correspondence
- Prepare and manage subcontracts, including negotiation and awarding
- Oversee all aspects of project planning and execution for multiple projects simultaneously
- Maintain and forecast project budgets involving numerous subcontractors
- Establish and manage clear project objectives, focusing on quality, cost, and timelines Lead the estimating process for various projects, ensuring completion and accuracy
- Research and forecast material, labor, and equipment costs for estimating projects; includes collaborating with subcontractors to define their scope of work and associated costs
- Review and prepare change orders to ensure project accuracy.
- Interpret applicable specification divisions to ensure compliance with relevant standards
- Ensure alignment between project bidding and execution by collaborating with superintendents and other relevant parties
- Ensure project quality by conducting inspections and quality assurance checks and verify workmanship, materials, and construction methods align with industry standards and address any deviations from project specifications
- Provide regular project updates to management and stakeholders, either via regularly scheduled meetings at specific project intervals or via phone calls, summarizing progress, challenges, and any critical information
