What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Channel Associate position at BWI Companies, Inc.?
Join our team and serve as a Business Channel Associate. In this position you will support and promote corporate sales and marketing efforts into the ornamental market, including planning and coordinating sales training, customer events, assisting with BWI Expo, planning and implementing marketing activities, and facilitating communication with vendor partners.
More specifically you will:
- Develop sales support materials specific to the ornamental market including, but not limited to vendor early order programs, new product introductions, product positioning, and sell sheets.
- Plan and coordinate training opportunities for sales staff based on marketing focus and staff development needs.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of the BWI Expo as well as other trade shows deemed critical to the ornamental market.
- Provide sales and technical support to sales staff as necessary to include answering training resources, sales support literature, program information, and handling vendor referrals.
- Assist in the planning of ornamental marketing program as well as coordination of necessary marketing activities and promotions in support of that program.
- Plan and coordinate customer activities and training events as directed.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between key vendors and BWI sales staff.
- Create and maintain sales reports and help with other sales related functions as necessary.
- Perform all other duties as directed by the Business Director.

To apply for this position, you must have a bachelor’s degree and be proficient with Microsoft Office. In addition, one year of related sales or marketing experience is preferred.

The candidate will be compensated based on their work experience and skills, with the minimum starting salary for this position being $55,000 annually.
