Founded in 2015, Hard Truth Distilling Co. produces and releases a variety of premium spirits to market while filling our rackhouse with Indiana rye whiskey and bourbon. Now Indiana's largest destination distillery, Hard Truth lives on a 325-acre wooded campus in Brown County - an artists' colony and tourist destination known for its natural beauty.
Hard Truth Distilling Co. is looking to hire a Distillery Operations Team member.
Distillery Operations Responsibilities
Assist Barrel Manager and rackhouse Manager with pulling samples, staging samples and pulling barrels from rackhouse
Processing spirits and building clear spirit recipes.
Staging, filling, labeling and moving whisky barrels through the barreling process.
May perform lab procedures such as ABV%, proof or taste.
Operate gauging tanks, filling / dumping barrels with a high attention to detail.
Proofing spirits
Assist in unloading new barrel deliveries
Assist in unloading freight deliveries
Assist with deliveries to local restaurants.
Collaborate with distillery leadership to meet current and future production goals.
Follow all SOPs
Follow all safety programs
Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness in the production facility.
Assist with bottling
Assist with barrel transportation to and from rackhouses
Shuttling finished product and other inventory from production facility to warehouse
Interact with customers on tours helping to provide a great experience
All other duties as assigned.
Distillery Operations Minimum Work Experience / Educational Requirements
1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
1 year experience operating a fork truck preferred
1 year experience with consumable liquid experience preferred
Basic computer skills including email and general data entry
Distillery Operations Work Environment
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with the ability to be flexible and adaptable to a situation.
Ability to work in hot and humid conditions
Ability to work outdoors

Must be able to repeatedly lift 40lbs.
Must be able to operate or learn to safely operate a forklift.
