Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Lead to join our team. This critical role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills to manage warehouse operations effectively during 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will lead a team of clerks and operators, ensuring smooth execution of tasks, safety compliance, and accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and Coordinate Operations
- Direct daily warehouse activities and provide on-site guidance to team members
- Supervise inbound and outbound processes to ensure timely and accurate shipments
- Assign tasks to staff, monitor productivity, and maintain workflow efficiency
Inventory and Documentation Management
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and activity logs
- Ensure documentation is compliant with internal standards and legal requirements
Safety and Organization
- Promote and enforce a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment
- Ensure compliance with BWT safety procedures and protocols
Communication and Team Support
- Act as a role model and motivator, promoting teamwork and accountability
- Communicate effectively with leadership, peers, and team members to resolve issues and share updates
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Lead role or similar position
- Leadership training or demonstrated ability to lead and coach teams
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and think strategically
- Proficient in basic computer systems and comfortable using Microsoft Office
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
PPE Requirements
- Steel-toe or composite-toe boots required
- All other required PPE will be provided by BWT
Benefits and Compensation (Available after 90 days)
- Hourly pay range: $18.00 – $20.00 based on experience
