Role Overview
As a Mechanical Design Engineer , you will be responsible for developing detailed 3D models for complex water treatment systems used in pharmaceutical and bioprocessing facilities. You will work with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD to generate designs that are directly utilized for fabrication in our on-site workshop.
This role is ideal for a creative, self-motivated engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment. You will work closely with expert design engineers, workshop manager, and project team to ensure high-quality designs and seamless project execution.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain 3D design models and associated drawings.
- Generate automated Bills of Materials (BOMs) for procurement.
- Design pipe routes and detailed equipment layouts for complex plantrooms.
- Collaborate with the workshop team to evaluate 3D models and identify continuous improvement opportunities in production and project execution.
- Maintain project drawing lists and coordinate drawing package distribution.
- Standardize CAD procedures within BWT and communicate design standards to project teams.
- Establish and maintain design protocols aligned with industry and regulatory requirements.
- Stay up to date with industry codes and software developments to enhance design accuracy and compliance.
