Electrical Maintenance Technician - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Barberton, OH
- Electrician Maintenance Technician (EMT) will be assigned to the Maintenance Department and report directly to the Maintenance Planning Supervisor.
- Works as a member of a team of electronics repair, electrical maintenance technicians, mechanical maintenance techncians, and electrical engineers.
- Applies electrical theory and related knowledge to assist the Plant Engineering and Facility Engineering departments.
- Performs troubleshooting, testing, calibration, and modifying of various CNC equipment/machine power, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Assists electrical engineers with plant-wide electrical infrastructure upgrades and maintenance.
- Asseses needs for motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, windings, solenoids, switches, and other electrical equipment and components according to provided engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles.
- Performs machine positional accuracy testing using laser measurement equipment. Troubleshoots and corrects machine deficiencies to meet calibration requirements.
- Possesses knowledge and demonstrates competency applicable to National Electric Codes and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and recommendations.
- Technical or Associates Degree preferred. 8 years minimum experience required. Siemens machine controls expeirence is a plus.
