We are seeking a Nurse Educator who will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical learning and development programs that meet quality, patient care and other organizational goals. This role leverages advanced, discipline specific knowledge and community resources to build curricula that improves performance and generates professional advancement across all service lines and regions.
By the Bay Health follows all CDPH vaccine requirements for healthcare personnel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Conducts needs analysis of individuals and roles within the discipline; clarifies performance objectives and provides targeted learner-centric solutions that are aligned to By the Bay Health (BTBH) strategic priorities and organizational goals.
- Chairs their respective Discipline-Specific Clinical Education Sub-Committee.
- In collaboration with Sub-Committee, identifies training and education needs for the discipline.
- In collaboration with Sub-Committee, creates and implements an annual training and education plan for the discipline.
- Independently and in collaboration, designs and delivers customized, engaging, results-oriented interventions, workshops, e-learning, meeting facilitation and other learning experiences to elevate their discipline’s practice and improve transdisciplinary team performance.
Education/Experience:
- BSN required. MSN or NP strongly preferred or Master of Social Work required or Spiritual Services Specialist: Graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology or Master of Divinity degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in Clinical Specialty, preferably in a health care setting providing clinical services in the areas of life‑threatening and chronic illness.
- 2 years of experience in teaching and coaching.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker must be eligible for clinical supervision of Associate Clinical Social Worker
- 2 years demonstrated knowledge of organizational effectiveness, change management and large-scale change preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- For Nursing Services Specialist: Registered Nurse in California with current licensure to practice professional nursing within the state.
- For Social Services Specialist: LCSW required.
- For all: hospice and palliative certification strongly preferred.
Pay Range:
$56.00 - $69.00 hourly
