Home Health Aide

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role is crucial in promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for those receiving care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Help with mobility and transfers, including lifting clients safely when necessary.
• Cue medication as prescribed and maintain accurate medical records.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking as needed.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, particularly those in memory care or hospice settings.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Monitor client health by observing changes in condition and reporting to healthcare professionals when necessary.
• Support clients with long-term care needs, ensuring they receive appropriate assistance tailored to their individual requirements.

Experience

• Previous experience in home care, long term care, or assisted living preferred.
• Familiarity with medication administration and maintaining medical records is a plus.
• Experience in assisting individuals with memory care challenges is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and a caring demeanor are essential for building rapport with clients.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving clients safely is required.
