Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of heavy equipment, including backhoes, graders, loaders, and bulldozers
- Perform excavation and earthmoving tasks to prepare sites for construction projects
- Use backhoes for digging trenches and foundations
- Operate graders to level and smooth surfaces for paving or grading projects
- Utilize loaders to move materials and debris on construction sites
- Bulldoze and clear land for building purposes
- Operate dump trucks, tankers, and water trucks as needed for transportation and site maintenance
-oversee a crew of 3 or more individuals
Skills:
- Proficient in operating backhoes, graders, loaders, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment
- Knowledge of excavation techniques and earthmoving processes
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
- Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
- Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Attention to detail to ensure precise excavation and grading work
