Flight Follower, Part 135
Byerly Aviation (located at PIA) is searching for a Flight Follower. This position is Part Time . The person can expect to be on call during specific times and days. This person can expect to assist executive staff in administrative support at times.
The Flight Follower is responsible for ensuring that crews are qualified and current for flight assignment, in addition for flight following for each flight or series of flight.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Responsible for all flight locating procedures
2. Coordinates and reviews with OC personnel, pilot status basis in regards to currency and qualifications
3. Assists Chief Pilot in assigning flight crews in his/her absence. May designate PIC/SIC and shall ensure crews are qualified
4. Coordinates and reviews with Maintenance Control to facilitate scheduling aircraft
5. Prepares quotes, invoices, manifests, and itineraries for clients
6. Arranges travel amenities for clients and flight crews
7. Conducts fuel pricing and FBO fee surveys for all scheduled flights
8. Participates in Company TS 12-5 Standard Security Program
9. Submits international paperwork through eAPIS
10. Works with US Customers and USCBP on international flights
11. Assists executive management with administrative support as appropriate; including research, computer work, and other standard office duties.
Qualifications
1. Demonstrated exceptional customer service
2. Aviation operations experience, preferably in an FBO setting
3. Aviation customer service experience
4. Extensive research capabilities
5. Extensive experience in understanding and developing process flow
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is intermittently required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must be able to sit for an extended period of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The person must be able to use correct ergonomics to complete desk work.
Entry Level Starting Pay: $18.00/hour on call stipend
