We are looking for an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced litigator to manage high-profile cases and mentor junior attorneys. This position is an in-office role based out of our office located in Winter Park, FL.
Position Overview:
The Commercial Litigation Attorney will independently manage a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters and represent clients in state and federal courts. This position requires a strong understanding of the commercial litigation lifecycle from initial consultation through pre-trial and appeals.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a full caseload of complex commercial litigation matters, including drafting legal documents, overseeing discovery processes, preparing for trial, and negotiating settlements and other forms of dispute resolution.
- Represent clients in depositions, court appearances, arbitrations, and mediations.
- Conduct thorough legal research and communicate effectively with clients, providing timely updates.
- Provide mentorship and oversight to junior attorneys and participate in the Firm’s business development efforts.
- Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases to formulate litigation strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in Florida; admission to additional jurisdictions is a plus.
- A minimum of 7 years of litigation experience.
- Superb understanding of commercial procedure and substantive law in Florida.
- Exceptional legal writing, oral, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated success in similar past roles.
- Experience mentoring junior attorneys and/or staff is a plus.
