Job Description
As a Turn Buyer at Byrne Dairy & Deli, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and replenishment of inventory in our warehouse. You will work closely with Purchasing Department, Category Managers, and Warehouse Management to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers.
Main Responsibilities
1. Inventory Procurement
Monitor inventory levels, analyze sales data, and forecast demand to optimize purchasing decisions.
Place purchase orders and coordinate with logistics and receiving teams to ensure timely delivery.
Maintain effective communication channels with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
2. Inventory Management
Implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover while minimizing excess stock and obsolete inventory.
Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies with suppliers, warehouse personnel, and accounting department.
3. Reporting and Documentation
Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, receipts, invoices, and related documentation.
Generate reports on inventory levels and stock movement.
Analyze data to identify trends, anticipate demand, and optimize purchasing decisions.
Requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
Detail-oriented with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
Experience in warehouse procurement, purchasing, or inventory management is a plus.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and software is a plus.
