General Description :
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for completing assigned duties to ensure customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk does this by performing receiving and shipping administrative processes and procedures. This will include ensuring the accuracy of documents, order fulfillment, and timely shipments to achieve overall OTIF Goals. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk uses our foundation for Safety, Service, and Sanitation to meet our strategic plans for Distribution and Logistics.
Job Responsibilities :
- Ensure OTIF goals by actively engaging in order fulfillment, document preparation, and shipping / receiving processes / procedures.
- Notifies others of warehouse concerns to increase productivity, improve service, decrease or avoid costs, and begins to identify areas where they can assist in resolving concerns.
- Works in an effort of continuous improvement. Utilizing self IDPs and reviews to guide their direction of growth as well as meet the organizations expectations for the role.
- Responsible for complying with GWP’s, SOP’s, corporate and / or distribution-logistics policies, rules, and regulations.
- Provides assistance and support to all site Administration as outlined by their Supervisor and Manager, Learns and develops to build competence on key areas in Supply Chain such as ERP, WMS, APICS to move business towards a World Class level.
- Responsible for gaining competence in standard operations within all areas of Administration to support Inventory, Systems, Office and the overall distribution functions.
- Covers and / or ensures breaks, lunches and other staffing needs of the Administration Group.
- Compliant with all legal and safety requirements concerning Supply Chain Administration and reports concerns to their Supervisor or Manager.
- Works in a safe manner and reports safety concerns promptly to their Supervisor or Manager and takes corrective actions timely to ensure a safe environment.
- Responsible for reporting food safety concerns and initiating actions timely for supporting SQF / HACCP / FSMA by maintaining food safety processes, documentation, and maintains training requirements or certifications.
- Ensures work areas are sanitary, strictly adheres to sanitation practices, supports health / wellness controls and programs.
- Communicates effectively between shifts, departments and other sites as needed.

The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Byrne, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $20.50 to $25.75.
