Byrne & Jones Construction seeks a detail-oriented, experienced Estimator to join our Sports Division. This role is key in accurately assessing project costs and developing detailed estimates for our sports construction projects. You will work closely with the sales and design teams to ensure estimates meet client specifications and ensure that cost assessments are completed with precision and on time. Position Summary:
As an Estimator in the Byrne & Jones Sports Division, you will create accurate and detailed cost estimates for sports construction projects. This will involve reviewing project documents, collaborating with teams to understand project scope, and applying engineering skills to develop cost-effective solutions. Your work will be critical in helping our teams stay on budget and meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for sports construction projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project specifications and client needs.
• Collaborate with sales and design teams to gather project details and clarify any uncertainties regarding the scope.
• Review project documents to identify all cost elements, such as labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
• Maintain a database of historical cost data and trends to enhance future estimate accuracy.
• Document estimates clearly, including breakdowns and justifications for costs.
• Communicate with project teams throughout the lifecycle to ensure alignment and address any estimate-related feedback.
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards and construction methods that may impact cost estimation.
• Attend meetings as needed to ensure an understanding of project requirements and company needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in Bluebeam Revu, HeavyJob, and HeavyBid preferred.
• Experience estimating construction within the civil or sports facility sectors is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in estimating and documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations relevant to estimating processes.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working on estimating software.
• Occasionally required to walk, stand, or bend during site visits.
• Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment up to 25 lbs. as needed.
