What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Security Administrator (onsite position) position at Byrne Software Technologies?
Daily responsibilities:
- Perform routine skilled work supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring activities designed to protect IT systems, services, and capabilities.
- Utilize IT security tools and follow processes and procedures.
- Work security related Helpdesk tickets (whitelisting, stolen devices, etc.).
- Approve local software installations.
- Perform health checks.
- Gather security metrics.
- Configure and monitor phishing campaigns.
- Follow and contribute to incident response playbooks.
- Monitor vulnerabilities within the Tenable platform.
- Work with security vendors applications and support as needed.
- Collaborate with other IT teams as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2 - 5 years in IT and at least 1 year of security experience
- Relative certifications: CompTIA Security
- Microsoft environment, specifically Azure & O365 (MS Infrastructure, NOT Office Suite)
- Experience with IT Infrastructure components
- Antivirus experience
- Microsoft Azure / O365, AWS, Meraki firewalls, Zscaler, KACE Help Desk (ITSM platform), Microsoft Defender for Endpoints (nice to have), VMWare Carbon Black Protect (nice to have), Tenable (nice to have), Mimecast (nice to have)
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred; have minimum a 2 year degree

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
