Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the commercial loan portfolio including overall relationship profitability and portfolio risk.
- Achieve improved profit margin through increased loan growth, deposit growth, and fee income.
- Maintains comprehensive understanding of current commercial products offered in the market and keeps informed of all relevant industry trends and practices.
- Maintain properly documented files and manage renewals.
- Evaluate loan applications and conduct credit analysis to determine the risk level and recommend appropriate loan terms.
- Continued business development through cross selling and joint calling efforts.
- Active in various community organizations and events to increase bank’s visibility, develop relationships, and drive business opportunities.
- Follow all bank policies and procedures and compliance rules and regulations.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ensure all lending activities adhere to regulatory requirements and credit union policies.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of commercial loan products, underwriting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to build and maintain strong member relationships.
- Proficiency in financial analysis software and loan processing systems.
- Ability to operate standard office and bank equipment and required software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or related field, or equivalent experience, preferred, but not required.
- 5 or more years of commercial lending experience preferred
- Good credit analysis and accounting skills
- Proven ability to achieve sales goals
- Professional and effective interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements
- Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
- Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.
- Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators.
- Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
- Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.
- Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
