Moderate Cognitive Impairment (MOCI) Paraprofessional
Marshall Elementary
Part-Time: 29hrs/week
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with classroom teacher and facilitate learning with students
- Work with students who require special education support, including behavioral needs
- Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with students, staff and families
- Ability to work independently
- Consistently maintain confidentiality
- Excellent attention to detail
- Willingness to attend to the personal care needs of students, while maintaining their dignity
- CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) certified or able to be certified
- Be a proper role model for students
- Navigate and guide students with educational programs and applications
- Willing to be flexible with daily schedule
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree or Equivalent (Preferred)
- Two years of college training (Preferred) or;
- WorKeys Certified or a passing ETS Parapro Assessment score
Wages: Per Hourly Rate (range of $15.81-$20.18/hour) – School Year Calendar
