Parts of this role will require supporting across ByteDance, as well as TikTok. ByteDance is TikTok's parent company, whose mission is to inspire creativity and enrich life.

About The Team

Founded in April 2015, Pico is a leading VR company with independent innovation and R&D capabilities, focusing on VR all-in-one technology. Pico is committed to offering immersive and interactive VR experiences to our customers, including providing tailor-made solutions for our enterprise clients in the fields of education and healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define/drive SOC requirement including but not limited to interface, customized -IP, memory bandwidth, and power requirement for MR products.
• Define external interface, interconnect protocols and topologies for emerging MR technologies and system constrains
• Define SOC data and control flow, power states given specified system feature, functions and usage scenarios
• Define Hardware-software partitioning and drive efficient system/hardware/software architecture co-optimization to meet
  
  

product requirement

• Perform power and performance analysis, access implementation trade-off for a SOC design and explore novel and
  
  

efficient approaches aligned with product requirement

• Drive silicon design team/vendors to ensure the delivery of SOC requirements
  
  

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• MS or above in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent fields.
• 5 years of experience in SoC architecture design.
• Familiar with advanced process nodes, low power digital circuit design and validation flow and methodologies.
• Open minded, enthusiastic about new technologies with excellent communication and written skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience of evaluating architecture trade-off of performance, power and area.
• Experience and knowledge of external interface, on-chip memory system, networks, hardware/software partitioning.
• Experience in image, display or AI acceleration subsystems including ISP, DPU, NPU and its micro-architecture.
• Experience of FPGA programming and prototype.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $194000 - $410000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
