Job Summary
Job Title: Adjunct Teaching - School of Music -Songwriting Instructor (Evening School)

Position Start Date: August 25, 2025
Required Degree: Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related musical or literary field. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience:
Must have at least 5 years of professional songwriting experience and be a published songwriter
Duties/Expectations:
- Teaching Songwriting for Evening School through Continuing Education
- Must be able to teach the craft of songwriting from a creative and practical perspective
- Aid students in becoming more prolific songwriters and help them refine their craft
- Educate students on the business landscape for Songwriters
- Assist students in understanding various modern day Songwriter income streams and how to participate in them
- Ability to create a comfortable climate for students in which to share their creative work and help them navigate creative roadblocks
- Other objectives as determined in consultation with Commercial Music Faculty.
This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
