Horizontal Directional Drill Operator
What You'll Do:
- Confirm bore path with foreman and drill operator (including walking the bore path)
- Perform job site analysis (JSA) including completion of paperwork
- Ensure there are proper clearances to install the product per standards
- Record the depth of the tool head as required
- Ensure the drill head is in a good position at the exit pit to connect the product
- May oversee laborers and/or crew member’s work and monitor time usage.
Qualifications:
- 1 years experience in locating for HDD
- Good verbal communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License (Class A Driver’s License (CDL) preferred)
- Valid DOT Health Card
Education:
- High School, Some college or vocational school a plus
- Military experience a plus
Physical Demands:
- Must be physically fit to endure the daily activity involved with the job
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Must perform work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to prioritize multiple projects and perform under pressure
- Must negotiate timeframes for completion and meet critical deadlines
- Must be willing and able to work with other coworkers to complete job assignments
