Job Title: Key Account Manager

Location: Dublin, Ohio - Hybrid

Reports to: Benefits Manager


Job Summary:

Seeking a highly motivated and result-driven Benefits Specialist that will be responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with clients. With the ability to maintain client satisfaction and drive long-term business success through strategic account management. You will work both independently and collaboratively with internal teams, while also being open to growth opportunities and constructive feedback to continuously improve your performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Serve as the main point of contact for assigned key accounts, ensuring exceptional service and the delivery of tailored solutions. Work with the best interests of the client and their employees. Follow up with Insurance carriers as needed for enrollment, termination and claim problem status. Resolve any billing issues with client and carriers.
  • Client Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and their main points of contact. Going above and beyond for the client to show the importance in the partnership. Finding benefits that meet the needs of the client’s employees, adding lines and introducing new products.
  • Strategic Input: Work with internal teams to continuously improve processes and provide feedback on opportunities for streamlining workflows and enhancing client service.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively address and resolve any client issues, ensuring quick response times and effective resolutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members on assigned projects to ensure that things are produced and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Independent Decision-Making: Work independently on accounts and tasks that have been assigned, while maintaining communication with your team when unsure of how to complete a task or help a client.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience of providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, written, verbal and active listening.
  • Ability to understand client needs and translate them into actionable strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach.
  • Experience in health benefits.
  • The ability to multitask at work.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Education:

  • Valid Accident, Health and Life License or able to obtain it in 90 days.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent or higher

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smartphones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and scanners. Due to travel the employee may operate in other environments other than a standard office environment.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

·       The employee will sit most of the day at their desk. Desks can rise for standing when needed. There may be times when you will have to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. 

·       The employee will be looking at a computer screen for all work related activities and duties. Up to 8 hours a day.

·       The employee will need to be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

·       The employee will need to operate and communicate by phone on a regular basis

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties such as travel demand.


Travel: Travel is limited and if needed, it would be primarily in Ohio.


  • Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
